Pediatric Acupuncture

Did you know that 13-27 percent of children nowadays struggle with a chronic illness? As the prevalence of these chronic illnesses is on the rise, the search for more holistic solutions is also increasing.  Acupuncture is one of these solutions.

Common childhood illnesses seen frequently in our office include but are not limited to: allergies and asthma, digestive issues, low immune systems, hyperactivity with difficulty focusing, emotional stress, anxiety and depression, childhood rheumatoid arthritis, and sports-related injuries.

Acupuncture is a non-invasive method of treating the whole child.  Most children who come into the office do not receive treatment with needles. No child receives needles until they are fully ready and the whole team including the child, parent, and practitioner is on board.  Needle-free methods we use include moxa therapy, laser therapy, cupping, acupressure, and pediatric tuina (Chinese massage) to help encourage recovery, balance, health, and vitality.

Helping our children heal and be at their peak vitality helps them live the best quality childhood possible and helps prevent adult illness so that they can live their best lives.

Acupuncture can be used very successfully to treat children of all ages. Infants and children respond very quickly to acupuncture and there are special techniques designed to specifically treat children.

But Is Acupuncture Safe for Children?

Acupuncture for children is focused on the principles of health, wellness, and safe resolutions to illnesses. Infinity Acupuncture is dedicated to integrating treatments and modalities that utilize natural methods to stimulate healing, recover balance, and support the body's own resilience.

Acupuncture follows this by encouraging the body to heal. When you stimulate the body and the body's energy in the correct way, healing can occur naturally. The body wants to be in balance. Acupuncture works to encourage that to happen. With age-old techniques that have been modified and refined for over 2,000 years, it is safe and effective.
