Gretchen Rivas

Dr. Gretchen Rivas,
Owner

Welcome! I’m Dr. Gretchen Rivas, owner of Infinity Acupuncture. After personally experiencing healing through acupuncture, I decided I could do more for others by providing acupuncture in addition to massage therapy.

With over 6 years as a massage therapist, and a B.S. in Business from the University of South Carolina, in 2007 I enrolled in the Masters of Acupuncture Program at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, NC. After four years of intensive study, and three Board Exams, I opened Infinity Acupuncture in September, 2011.

After several years of practice, I returned to school to get my Doctorate in Acupuncture and graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2019. In 2021 I began my deep dive into Sports Medicine Acupuncture and became a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncturist in 2023. Since then, I love to help people who are out of balance and in pain by correcting their muscular imbalances and helping them become pain free and get back to living their best life.

I’m active in the WIlmington Chamber of Commerce and the Topsail Island Chamber. In 2020 I won the Wilmington Chamber’s Inaugural Minority Enterprise Development Award for Best Woman Owned Business. I also participated in Leadership Wilmington and was in the graduating Class of 2024. My business has been a supporter of the WILMA Leadership Initiative since it began and I was a Finalist in the Health Care Category for Wilma’s Women to Watch in 2016. I love being a part of two vibrant communities and doing my best to help steward healthy growth and development , not only for our cities but our citizens too.

While growing two businesses and then selling Relax! Massage in 2023, I’ve also stayed busy helping with my 5 grandchildren. Two are in the west Charlotte area and the other 3 move around with the Marine Corps. I’ve been married to my husband, Lee, since 2013 and I love to cook, garden, travel and play with Fifel, our once playful, now a bit old, doggie. (He turned 17 in April 2024.)

At the heart of it all, I practice acupuncture because I love seeing people get well and return to the health that has eluded them for years. It is one of the safest ways to heal; no drugs, no surgery, just a few needles, herbs, some moxa or cupping, and amazing things begin to happen! So, come see me soon, the sooner the treatment the faster the healing! Can’t wait to help you be your best!

Rashell Greene,
Acupuncturist

Hello, my name is Rashell Greene L.Ac. I found acupuncture after coming down with a serious infection after traveling in Thailand about 15 years ago. After months of western treatments, antibiotics and surgeries, I was left feeling depleted and defeated. An amazing acupuncturist helped to slowly get me not only back on my feet...but to a state where I felt better than ever. After seeing firsthand the healing qualities and relief acupuncture could bring, I decided to dedicate my life to acupuncture and the path to discovering my own balance and vitality so that I can help you to discover your own. I firmly believe when we all feel our best, we can bring about the most positive change in the world.

I am a national board-certified and North Carolina licensed Acupuncturist. I graduated with my Masters from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, which focused on the classical roots of the long-standing traditions of acupuncture. While in school I also took part in an in-depth Zheng Gu Tui Na program under Dr. Jen Resnick, DAHM, L.Ac.

Because of my life experiences, acupuncture and tuina training, I use both my knowledge and my heart to see each patient as a whole being. This perspective allows me to provide unique treatments specific to you, in order to help you move closer to balance and vitality.

When not in the office you can find me spending time and being silly with my loving family and three goofy dogs. I love spending time in nature, getting my hands dirty in the garden, cooking delicious wholesome food, doing taiji and Qi Gong, walking along the beach, and learning to relax in the waves of life.

Cassandra Krug,
Acupuncturist

Cassandra takes pride in listening to her patients with an open mind and heart so that you feel heard and seen as a whole person. Together we will get to the root of your ailments so that you can begin healing from the inside out on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.

Cassandra is a graduate of Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is NCCAOM board certified, a diplomat in Oriental Medicine, and a licensed acupuncturist in the states of Colorado and North Carolina with more than 10 years of experience. She has advanced training in both sports medicine, and the Balance Method.

Prior to working at Infinity Acupuncture, Cassandra worked for the non-profit organization, Spinal Cord Injury and Recovery Project (SCIRP), providing acupuncture to para and quadriplegics, secondary to spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. She also spent more than seven years practicing under Erin Pass, an apprentice of Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan, their mentor and creator of the Balance Method. She has a strong interest in pain management and the nervous system. She is excellent at treating neck and back pain, head injuries, concussions, headaches and migraines. She believes the psycho-emotional aspects of pain are key to treating the physical body and transforming your overall health.

As a mother of three, she also finds great joy in working with women through their fertility journeys, pregnancy, and postpartum. Cassandra practices Qigong regularly; she feels tuning into spirit and connecting with Mother Earth helps provide access to a deeper layer of healing. She strongly believes in Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy to restore our balance, and heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Outside of work, Cassandra loves spending time with her family, sailing, photography, and archery.

Hello! My name is Jennifer Foltz. I moved from Maryland to Wilmington, North Carolina in 1994. I feel in love with the Wilmington area and love being near the beach.

I have over 20 years of office and accounting experience and have found a wonderful home here at Infinity Acupuncture where I can do what I love to do while being part of something that helps people improve their lives!

Since I sit at a desk all day, my back and shoulders give me pains from time t to time and Acupuncture has definitely been my saving grace! It is now my go to for everything that ails me. From stress to pain, I know where to go for help.

Jennifer "JJ" Johnson,
Acupuncturist Assistant

Hello, My name is Jennifer Johnson, aka, JJ, because we already had another Jennifer working at the office and it made life easier for all of us. I used to work for an acupuncturist in NY and had only recently moved to Hampstead when the Pandemic hit and the shutdowns began. I was so lucky to already be here!

That fall, I saw the ad for the front desk assistant at Infinity and knew it was the right place for me. It didn't take long for them to know it too and I began helping people get in for treatments soon after. It was weird at the beginning when we couldn't really talk to people and everyone had to wait outside, but now that people are allowed to come in more normally, I am in my element, greeting and helping people as they come in and check out.

I am so grateful to be here. I love the team I work with and most of all I love helping my patients get in here and get well. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask! I am always here to help!
